The Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is thrilled to announce that the following six computing researchers have joined the CCC Council:

- Sebastian Elbaum, University of Virginia
- Rachel Greenstadt, New York University
- Manish Parashar, The University of Utah

Starting July 1, newly appointed members will begin their three-year terms on the CCC Council. Consisting of 20 individuals with expertise spanning various computing areas, they play a vital role in steering CCC’s visioning initiatives and facilitating the emergence of innovative ideas for future computing research.
CCC’s goals are to catalyze the computing research community to debate longer range, more audacious research challenges; to build consensus around research visions; to evolve the most promising visions toward clearly defined initiatives; and to work with the funding organizations to move challenges and visions toward funding initiatives. Their blog disseminates the visioning concepts and community discussion.
